Agricultural Technician from IFSULDEMINAS, graduated in Agricultural Sciences Teaching from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), Master’s in Plant Science from UFRRJ, and Ph.D. in Agronomy from USP. He has been a federal public servant since 1996 at the former Federal Agrotechnical School of Muzambinho, currently the Muzambinho campus of IFSULDEMINAS. As a professor, he taught in Agricultural Technical, Food Technical, Environmental Technical, Coffee Growing Technology, Agronomy courses, and in postgraduate programs in Sustainable Coffee Growing and Work Safety. He has coordinated the Brazilian Agricultural Olympics (OBAP) since 2010. He served as pro-rector of research, postgraduate studies and innovation, and as rector of IFSULDEMINAS for two terms. In 2023, he took office as director of Federal Network Development at the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education. Since May 2024, he has been the secretary of the department at MEC. Through Setec/MEC, he is a member of Embrapii’s board of directors, among other collegiate bodies.
