Dr. Luiz Teixeira is recognized as one of the leading authorities on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Brazil. Holder of four post-doctorates, in addition to a doctorate and master’s degree in AI, Dr. Teixeira has built an exceptional academic and scientific background. With over 70 articles published in prominent journals and conferences. He is also a Visiting Fellow in AI and Data Science at The Open University, England. In the corporate sector, he served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of IntellTech, leading strategic innovation initiatives and transforming business operations through AI-based solutions. He led the two largest Digital Transformation projects in Geotechnology for the Mining sector, collaborating with leaders such as Samarco and Vale in modernizing technological practices. His international work includes leading major AI and geotechnology projects in Peru, Chile, and Canada. Currently, Dr. Teixeira is the Secretary of Technology, Innovation and Digital Modernization of Foz do Iguaçu, where he leads the pioneering initiative in Agentic AI “City in the Palm of Your Hand”, positioning the municipality as a reference in smart digital cities in Latin America.
