After 20 years of experience in retail—10 of them leading Brazil’s largest online musical instrument retailer—Fred Wirtz decided in 2020 to take on a new challenge: to transform retail through robotics. This led to the founding of MONSTERlab Robotics, a deep-tech company dedicated to developing and manufacturing robots for the retail sector. The company was later accelerated in Portugal. From the same vision came Wezee, a startup that develops AI-powered customer service robots.
