Maria Olívia Simão, Ph.D. in Freshwater Biology and Inland Fisheries from the National Institute of Amazonian Research – INPA, professor at the Federal University of Amazonas – UFAM, of the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability in the Amazon – PPGCASA/UFAM and Coordinator of the National Network Graduate Program for Teaching Environmental Sciences – PROFCIAMB/UFAM. She worked in public management as Deputy Executive Secretary of ST&I and President of the Amazonas Research Support Foundation, instituting actions and programs aimed at leveraging the Innovation Ecosystem in Amazonas. She also worked in the area of environmental consulting in the licensing of large enterprises and Ecological-Economic Zoning in the Amazon. Her research topics touch on the areas of education, innovation, environment, and sustainability.
